The best boat trips in the North East coast of Sardinia

From Tavolara Island to the cave Grotte del Bue Marino to the Arcipelago della Maddalena. The best boat trips at the North east coast of Sardinia!

Visiting North East Sardinia you’ll admire the beauty of the coast starting from the Golfo di Orosei to the Arcipelago della Maddalena. Until a few years ago there were not so many possibilities to make a boat trip in Sardinia. Nowadays many boat owners offer an excursion to visit the unspoilt beaches and islands.

If you stay in a holiday village or hotel between San Teodoro and Olbia you should plan a boat trip to visit the protected marine area of Tavolara.

Tavolara

There are different kinds of trips: a direct boat connection with departure every 30 minutes to reach the island or a boat trip. The trip starts at 9 am, the boat drives along the beach of Porto Taverna and takes you to the “Piscine di Molara” where you can swim in the crystal clear water. Afterwards the boat stops at the enchanting beach of Tavolara. There are 2 restaurants on the island and you can have a walk in a small area in the middle of Mediterranean macchia.

Orosei

We also suggest you a boat trip to the Golfo di Orosei. Departure from La Caletta or from the port in Cala Gonone. 3 stops to go swimming at the most beautiful beaches of the coast: Cala Luna, Cala Goloritze and Cala Mariolu with the possibility to visit the cave Grotta del Bue Marino (the visit is not obligatory). The cave was the habitat of the monk seal for decades.

La Maddalena

It is worth to plan a trip to the Arcipelago della Maddalena. Departure from Palau, stopping at the amazing beaches Cala Coticcio, Budelli and Manto della Madonna. Last stop at the beach of Spargi, Cala Corsara with its granite rocks and unspoiled Macchia mediterranea.
