A Day on a Boat in the Tavolara Marine Park with Our Saxdor!

Today we offer you an unforgettable day aboard our Saxdor, exploring the natural wonders of the Tavolara Marine Park, one of the most fascinating jewels of Sardinia. With its crystal-clear waters, pristine beaches, and extraordinary biodiversity, this marine park is the perfect destination for a day of sea, relaxation, and adventure.

First of all, we present our Saxdor 400 GTO boat, the flagship of the Norwegian company Saxdor known for building motor yachts of great elegance, quality and reliability. The Saxdor 400 GTO has a length of 12.4 meters and can accommodate up to 8 people. It is equipped with 2 outboard engines of 350 hp each, two comfortable cabins and a bathroom. But the most interesting features that make the Saxdor super comfortable are: relaxation corner with table at the bow, cockpit with sofa, large sun lounger and large space at the stern thanks to the folding bulkheads.  

And here is the experience we propose!

The day starts early aboard our Saxdor, the perfect boat for exploring the wonders of the coast thanks to its speed, maneuverability and comfort. The starting point is Porto San Paolo, a few kilometers from San Teodoro, from which you can easily reach the Tavolara marine park. After stocking up on water, snacks and everything you need for a day at sea, you sail towards the island of Tavolara.

The Saxdor, with its sporty and versatile design, allows you to glide effortlessly on the turquoise waters of Sardinia. In a short time, the imposing island of Tavolara stands out on the horizon, with its white cliffs and the lush vegetation that surrounds it. The journey offers breathtaking views and the possibility of spotting dolphins, regular visitors to these waters.

One of the wonders of the Tavolara Marine Park is the presence of hidden coves and secret bays accessible only by sea. With the boat it is possible to approach these small oases of peace and then swim in the wonderful clear waters. Among the most beautiful bays to visit is Cala Girgolu, with its fine sand and rocks shaped by the wind, it is perfect for a refreshing swim or a snorkeling session among fish and corals.

The Tavolara Marine Park is renowned for its extraordinary seabed, rich in marine fauna and flora typical of the Mediterranean. At one of the stops it is absolutely essential to wear a mask and snorkel to immerse yourself in these underwater paradises where it is possible to observe colorful fish, starfish, urchins and, with a bit of luck, barracudas or moray eels hiding among the rocks. The crystal clear waters offer excellent visibility, making snorkeling an unmissable activity.

After exploring the coast and the seabed and a morning of activities, it is necessary to make a stop. The island of Tavolara offers various areas where you can relax and enjoy a packed lunch or stop in one of the 2 restaurants present. Tavolara is also famous for its history and legends: a small independent monarchy until the 19th century, the island retains a special charm, with its Mediterranean vegetation and its high limestone cliffs creating a breathtaking landscape.

In the afternoon, after spending hours of relaxation and discovery, we sail towards the islets of Molara and Molarotto, other pearls of the Marine Park. These small strips of land surrounded by a pristine sea are perfect for a last dip or to simply enjoy the view as the sun begins to set, painting the sky with golden shades. Finally, a visit is a must to Spiaggia del Doctor and Porto Istana, two paradisiacal beaches set like diamonds in two bays surrounded by Mediterranean scrub.

Finally, upon returning, we usually offer our guests an end-of-day aperitif: either in our village at Tavernetta Beach with a refreshing cocktail and relaxing music that accompanies the sunset or directly on the boat, accompanied by the lulling of the sea in a breathtaking cove! The choice is yours!
